Summer Fun!

I'm back blogging after a few weeks or months of silence. Life has been hectic I must say. Summer was a blast. Finally bought that two piece I've been eying and gone to the beach more than once with family and friends. Why can't it be summer forever? :)

I had my first taste of summer sun in Kalanggaman. This little paradise is located somewhere north of Cebu. You have to travel 3-4 hrs by land and then another hour by boat. Its all worth it though. The island is unexplored and uninhibited except for the island guards. I tried skim boarding and I suck at it. haha I fell flat on my face a couple of times but nonetheless it was really fun and I'd love to learn more. I had this ultimate tanning goal for summer and I got it. Yey!

First week of May, I was in Davao to attend the wedding of my good friend Chelsea. She's the first to tie the knot and we are all very excited for her. We must be really getting old, I bet more of these will follow in the next few years. Hmm..Who will be the next bride? The day after the wedding we went to Kidapawan to visit Lake Agco, the popular hot spring and sulfur lake. It was a long drive but I didn't mind since me and my friends had a lot catching up to do. This is already at the foot of Mt. Apo. Hopefully next time I'll have the chance to climb the peak. :)

I spent a lot of time with my family when I went home. I took advantage of my mom's home cooked meals and savor the convenience of being pampered again. We went to the beach to celebrate my dad's birthday. I'm glad we had this chance, its been while since we had a family outing. :) My sister was not there because she's in Cebu for work, bummer!

When I got back from my Davao trip, Kristel is already at our flat. She's in Cebu for a vacation or should I say post break up vacation. hehe It was nice seeing her again, we had to catch up with lots of chikkas (gossip) so we all end up sleeping late most of the time. Kuja and Jc surprise us all by visiting as well. They were here for 3 days equivalent to 3 days of non stop pigging out! This is why I gained a few pounds over the summer! tsktsk We had our mini reunion here in Cebu. I haven't seen these gays in a while and I've missed them.

My last summer hurrah was our company outing held at Maribago Bluewaters Resort in Mactan. Its a chance for us to get away from work and unwind.

This is yet my most memorable summer ever. Up until now my color is uneven. I still have the traces of my tan lines. Everytime I see it, my face lit up because its a reminder of how much fun I had. :)

Morning Laugh Trip

'Twas a Saturday morning and I'm feeling elated because its my last day of work. Nothing can beat the excitement of a weekend coming even if you don't know how the hell will you spend it yet! So anyway, my friends decided to eat ice cream after shift. We had breakfast at Bo's and bought ice cream in a nearby convenience store. I initially had no plans of eating something cold with an empty stomach. But then, they ordered Strawberry so who am I to resist? ^_^ My food took really long. We're almost done with the ice cream when it finally arrived. So were having this really nice conversation. All of us are in a field wherein our greatest asset is talking, that's pretty much what we love to do even off work. Personally, I hate talking about work stuff outside the office, I had enough stress already. Why can't we give ourselves a break by not mentioning a work related word? :D Nuh-uh when you are with your officemates this is next to impossible. We can't just stop talking about work even if we want to. While engage in a heated conversion about leaves, absences and what nots, I was eating my hearty breakfast (waffle, ham and egg plus hot choco). When I sipped the hot chocolate, the taste wasn't right. I scanned the table looking for sugar and spotted a bottle that looks like one. I poured a huge amount on my cup. I was just idly stirring my cup while talking, then I finally decided to take a sip again. To my utter surprise, my hot chocolate taste like a freakin salt water!!! I burst out laughing and almost choke from the awful taste. What I was actually pouring on my cup earlier was SALT! Added insult to injury, when I check the container it was labeled! Everyone knew except me. Hmpf!

Nouveau Commencement

Nouveau Commencement is the French translation for new beginning. I consider this "come back" a new step for me even though I've been blogging ever since '03. This blog has been hiatus for almost two years . Along with it, my entire online life was put on hold because I've been busy struggling my way into the complicated world called "adulthood". I felt like I've matured five times more than my actual age, well at least emotionally and mentally I hope.

College and university life felt like a distant memory. However it was not easy letting go of a life you've always knew how to live- being a student. It took a lot of will power to convince my self that school is over. Though I'm eager to pack my bags and start my life, there is a feeling of hesitation hanging 'round the corner. A thousand what-ifs clogged by mind. But I put everything aside and immediately jump off to work after graduation. In reference with my last entry (which was eons ago) I got accepted on one of the companies I applied for.

I moved to a new city and got an apartment with six of my college girlfriends. Felt the jitters of my first day at work and leaped on my first paycheck. I got by with instant foods and take outs until I finally learned to cook a decent edible meal. I've met a lot of people and a few became good friends. Some inspired me to reach my full potential while others disappointed me. But one thing is certain, you can never please everyone, I stopped trying a long time ago.
I also bid goodbye to those who went away and decided to find their happiness elsewhere. Walking away is not surrender, its one of the bravest thing to do. A pat on the back to those of you who have walked away from something or someone that doesn't make you happy.

I grasp independence with my bare hands. The freedom overwhelmed me so as the responsibility that came alongside with it. Life became a constant everyday struggle for survival. You can't get away with a reckless mistake and a lousy decision. As what Newton said, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Change is my companion yet I feel stagnant at times. Its been nothing but excitement and roller coaster rides for me. Life never fails to surprise me and I'm somewhat glad. Its no longer the same as it is before but I'm living it one little step at a time. Here's some recent photos of me. :D
From here on I will start writing and posting stuff in this blog again. I never realized how much I missed blogging until now. Writing is one of the things that I love to do and I'd like to rekindle my lost relationship with this craft.

What's new?
More changes are to be expected anytime soon, there's still so much things to learn and add. Wish me luck!
